Imperium Omni - Who Are 'The Changers'? A key piece of the puzzle of the vast cycle of four books is revealed!
Shadow and Fara encounter 'The Changers' in the very first part of our story, The Changers being a super-group of anti-heroes. But who are they? And where do they come from?
The young and inexperienced explorer group known as The Changers came to international fame/infamy when it was revealed that they had found The Raunos Amulet, and instead of destroying it or giving it to the World Council, they returned the amulet to Raunos himself.
The Banner of The Changers
While this act would have branded them the worst traitors in all of history (and many still do brand them as such), they endeavored to make a deal with the Super-Demon that ended The Raunos War. As recounted to the High Command of The World Council, and as recorded by the esteemed Master Sage Sepheranous, The Changers claimed that ‘the amulet found them, not the other way around.’ They also claimed that the amulet, through its cryptic ministrations, led them directly to the lair of Raunos himself. Faced with this most powerful of all beings, and yet possessed of what they had been told was the most powerful of all weapons in the form of The Amulet, they were at a cross-road. Raunos attempted to entice them to use the amulet, and though they admitted they were tempted, they chose not to. But Raunos didn’t seek to wrest the amulet from them by force, when he clearly had more than enough power to do so, instead he bargained with them for its return. Stipulating that Raunos must teleport in the top barristers in the world (there were three), surprised though they must have been, the barristers nonetheless drew up a contract binding Raunos to his word to withdraw all his forces, relinquish all lands and claims in The West and Amra-Elven, and never directly or indirectly attack this world (or any other world or plane) again. When Raunos had signed the document, and the amulet was returned to him, he kept his word to this day.
Thus it was that a small group of unknown and clearly mercenary explorers came to be known as The Changers for their role in that series of events. The membership of The Changers itself changed often over time, but the core group always consisted of Markus, Drudgeon, Grimm, Hammer and Ricus. Additional members were added, most notably Shadow and Fara.

Imperium Omni will be bringing retro RPG also to mobile gamers as well!
Storytellers Entertainment seeks to get a portion of the $100 bn mobile market through a new take on retro gaming
"Imperium Omni”, will also be available on iOS and Android, once the game development has been finalized. After its introduction on PC, the fantasy retro game will be launched on on mobile devices.
The mobile gaming market is said to become a 100-billion-dollar industry in 2021. By then, both smartphone and tablet games will create 59% of revenues in the entire gaming market. Also, by 2021, there’ll be 2.6 billion people playing mobile games worldwide. We want to cater to those gamers.
As people can read books everywhere they go, we want to ensure that they can play Imperium Omni everywhere they are. The game will support multi-platform play across the PC, Xbox, PS4 and iOS and Android, with the iOS port likely being first, since the game lends itself well to mobile gaming.

The Geography and History of Aeris Pri, The Vast New Epic Fantasy World Of Imperium Omni
The fantasy novel and video game of Imperium Omni has a vast, expansive landscape to explore. Developed over 25 years, the world of Aeris Pri has a deep history, mythology and context. A great deal of “world-building” has gone into this fantasy series, and that is critical to the plotline and to character development.
Aeris Pri (pronounced ‘ay-ris pree’) means “First Breath”, where legend has it that The Gods breathed their “First Breath” into this particular world and as such, it became central to the evolution of the Multiverse. There is evidence that to some extent, the critical nature of the planet of Aeris Pri does indeed play a major role in the balance and function of the universe, as if the world is a keystone.
The planet is essentially divided into two continents which originally were a single land mass, split in half ages ago during a cataclysmic shift rumored to have been caused by a great war in the East. The Eastern half of the world fell into ruin, and civilization itself largely died there with only small subsistence-level communities remaining for the most part.
The West however grew and prospered. This article studies some of the key areas of The West.
SASHIRE CITY, Capital of the Sashire Empire and home of the Empress Illissa
Long ago, thousands and thousands of years, the dragons of The North were brutal. Coming in from nests high in the Barrier Mountains, they killed and destroyed and took everything from everyone. The First King of Sashire, Malloran, he saw that there could be no response without strength. And he got every single individual in his kingdom to occupy and build a fortified city inside the hollow bowl of a dead volcano. They used Pegasus cavalry to deflect or defeat the incoming Wyrms while they built the city. Like a giant salad bowl, the city had a deep base at its center and very high walls. They also built a huge underground structure, beneath the city, warrens and tunnels, filled with cool-water channels and winds flowing in from the trumpet-like funnels at the top of the walls. When the dragons attacked, the people hid there in the underground. When the citizens were strong enough to kill the dragons, that’s what they did. The city filled miles in every direction, but at the bottom of a bowl. With the dragons eventually vanquished, the city built itself up along every side, climbing to the top with streets and houses. Like a giant spider-web, with the center level the middle of the web, and spokes going out and up, the entire city spread out not just in front but above. Roads led up every side of the inner walls, filled with houses. Most all the businesses were on the bottom level, or the first tiers of the streets going up. Several miles in diameter, at the western edge, a single tower rose. But it did not rise just a fraction. This tower at the west end of the city, rose from the already high top of the wall to peak at over 500 feet above the city, The Tower of The Empress.
CENTRAL VALLEY KINGDOMS
Stretching from below the bottom edge of Sashire proper and all the way down to the South Wall Mountains, and from the West Coast to the edge of The Spine Mountains, The Central Valley Kingdoms were often joked about as ‘The Land Where There’s a King for Every Acre.’ It is a vast land of hundreds of small kingdoms, baronies, provincial governments and feudal lords. A large number of these kingdoms and provinces are either direct vassal kingdoms of The Sashire Empire, or they are allies of Sashire.
GHANDAR AND THE SOUTHERN KINGDOMS
The city of Ghandar stands in the center of the only clear access through the South Wall Mountains to the Southern Kingdoms. Ghandar is home to the Ghandari, the Ancient Noble Humans, also called The First Men. They came to be in the world the same time the original High Elves and only in the city of Ghandar does the Human version remains essentially pure, at least for the most part. But most of the Humans who live in the Southern Kingdoms have some Ghandari blood in them as well. Ghandari are heartier and longer-lived than the modern Human race, the Ghandari still retain that ancient, epic nature that had them in the histories fighting side-by-side with the ancient High Elves against the terrible enemies of the past. Due to the prowess of the Ghandari, who have stood in between the Northern governments and the Southern Kingdoms, the culture and nature of The Southern Kingdoms has remained essentially unchanged for thousands of years.

New Game Studio Returns Retro Gaming to the Golden Age in Less Than 24 Hours
Four-part serialized RPG “Imperium Omni” Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign reaches $25k goal in less than 24 hours.
Los Angeles, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 02/05/2019 --An emerging game studio, Storytellers Entertainment, is bringing new life to a whole new generation of fantasy-based retro gaming with "Imperium Omni". The studio launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.com on Monday, January 28th, to raise $25,000 amongst all RPG gaming enthusiasts. Within 24 hours, the target goal was reached, and shortly thereafter at nearly 500 backers and in excess of $30,000 there's no upper limit in sight. The campaign continues throughout February 2019 with all eyes on the stretch goals.
Storytellers Entertainment was established by fantasy fiction writer and veteran game designer, Matthew Thomas and award-winning Hollywood SFX expert Bill Munns. They will cater to fans of retro-styled, fantasy-based, solo-RPGs following a surge in interest in retro gaming in recent years. With additional 3D content through Unreal Engine 4.0, modern gamers will be satisfied as well.
Imperium Omni is a four-part serialized RPG set in the vast fictional world of Aeris Pri. The game emerged from the founder's earliest work in and on RPGs of all kinds, developing as a novel and a video game concurrently. Although to be released on PC, the game will also later be available on Xbox, PS4, iOS and Android platforms.
The game adopts a modern twist to the retro solo-RPG genre by utilizing a class and relationship AI to allow the player to evolve with the content. This unique game feature gives players the chance to not only play their primary class but also to play concurrent classes like Pirate, Monk, Samurai or Spy.
Speaking about the crowdfunding campaign and the gaming community, Matthew Thomas said:
"We're so excited by the response we've received from RPG gaming enthusiasts and the crowdfunding community to back us so quickly.. Imperium Omni is unique with its map-based approach and we're glad how people have gotten behind our launch. We have elaborate stretch goals already set in place to take us beyond our goal; at $35,000 we expand the initial play area, and at $50,000 we add a whole new chapter to the game. And there's more to come after that."
About Imperium Omni
Imperium Omni is the Empress' motto meaning 'To Rule All' and yet, it is in a language "that has been dead for hundreds of thousands of years". That means that the game actually takes place in the very distant future. The game and novel follow the characters of Shadow and Fara, explorers who live in the vast fantasy world of Aeris Pri. The player's long term goal is to move all the way from the lowest ranked player to eventually be crowned Emperor or Empress of the world. The game is broken into four editions and four corresponding books: part one is the Captain's Edition, part two is the General's Edition, part three is the King/Queen Edition and the final part is the Emperor/Empress Edition.
